Bridge Builder Academy

Bridge Builder Academy is a "home-school school" that sends certified teachers to you! Our purpose is to comfortably challenge students by providing the highest quality of individualized education within a student's "least restrictive" environment. This is usually the home.

We look at each student and create goals which focus on that student's specific needs and areas of improvement. This is more than just academic goals! We can develop goals for social skills, study skills, and other life skills whenever needed.

Quite often! We are bringing the world to your student every session whether in our 1-on-1 classrooms, your home, or elsewhere. Our teachers are equipped with the best resources and manipulatives to do the job right, so that every student has everything they will need right there without distraction or social pressure. Unlike busy tutorial centers or crowded classrooms, we can create the most comfortably challenging environment for your child. Often that's the home, but no matter where it is we keep our student teacher ratio at one-to-one.

Yes! We have five working classroom available at the BBA office where we can provide the exact same personalized instruction in a completely neutral environment for those who would prefer it! Most of our older students prefer to study using our classrooms. Call us today and ask about using our classroom for your student's sessions instead of your home.

Primarily a school, but in many ways we are both! We have the validity and structure of a school with a growing curriculum library, FULLY state certified teachers, accredited curriculum, and full time school administration; but we provide the flexibility and convenience of in-home educators! Most "other" private tutors are "degreed", but this does not mean education CERTIFIED. Ours are REAL teachers with years of experience and professional training and development with access to our many school resources. We use all types of curriculum and methods, but via TTU-ISD or through University of Nebraska, Lincoln, we offer Pre-K through 12th grade college-prep diploma programs that are fully accredited.

ONE-TO-ONE every time. We tailor our program for each and every student so that it is always a perfect fit, matching the teacher to the student and not the other way around. Unlike the major tutorial centers, we never put more than one student with a teacher except by your request in unique situations such as with twins or family members on EXACTLY the same level.

We are here to provide the BEST instruction and curriculum that education has to offer, which is why we hire education specialists, not just teachers. Individualized instruction and goals allow us to focus all of our attention on YOUR student. This means that we can accomplish more effectively in about one fifth of the time what a traditional classroom teacher can through a technique called "Curriculum Compacting" which maximizes learning by focusing only on what your student doesn't know. We don't just say it, we GUARANTEE it. Plus, our online lesson plan and checklist interface make communication and homework a breeze and you are always a click away from the next lesson or the grade book.

Yes! We have special discounted and compacted semester programs for students who need to make up or get ahead with a credit or two any time of the year using our accredited and fully transferable distance learning curriculum.

Yes! We understand that giftedness consists of not only natural ability, but motivation and environment as well! We are GT certified and specialize in differentiation, curriculum compacting, curriculum acceleration and other specialized modifications for GT. We cater to students working beyond their expected grade-levels as well as career kids and those just looking for some great one on one enrichment! We specialize in motivating gifted "underachievers" and accommodating gifted "perfectionists".

Yes! We are Special Ed. certified and specialize in students with ADD, ADHD, PDD, and High-functioning Autism as well as other learning differences. We have lots of experience with students of mixed levels as well as those who are twice-exceptional. Our highly successful "Language Intervention Program" is geared towards preschool children with language delays, many of whom have Autism or other language delays.
