High School Curriculum
As a part of our Full Time program, BBA High School uses only accredited TTU-ISD HS curriculum or accredited UNL HS curriculum. We are a special project of TTU-ISD. This means you get full student status and privileges at BBA, the fully accredited curriculum through Texas Tech Univiersity or University of Nebraska Lincoln, and an option for Texas or Nebraska state graduation and high school diploma, at YOUR comfortably challenging pace. This includes:
- self-paced courses
- accelerated courses
- extended courses
- credit by examination
- alternate graduation plans for accelerated or extended graduation
- Advanced placement and Dual Credit courses
Why is distance learning a better choice?
- Courses are self-paced and designed for the independent learner
- Complete courses in five weeks to one year
- No age or grade requirements to take courses
- No artificial time-constraints for earning a diploma
- Students enrolled in a participating local school may take individual courses for credit transfer
- Develops lifelong learning habits, time management, and self-discipline skills
TTU or UNL?
When considering BBA's accredited secondary (6-12th) curriculum options, there are two popular choices: "Texas Tech University" or "University of Nebraska Lincoln" Distance Learning Curricula. Both Curricula are fully accredited (NCA/SACS) and NCAA endorsed for the college-bound athlete.
UNL is recommended for most High School students who do not require a Texas Diploma.UNL work is often more user-friendly from both the teacher and student perspective, allowing for flexible prescribed daily work, fewer major deliverables (open book evaluations and projects) which are easier to compact and enrich, and no comprehensive final exams, breaking assessment into manageable chunks throughout the course instead. UNL Curriculum is ideal for ADD/ADHD students and those with PDD diagnoses as well as gifted underachievers and others.
TTU is used primarily for Texas Credit Recovery and those seeking a Texas State diploma. TTU is the best choice for those who desire a more rigid structure and step-by-step procedural instruction. TTU curriculum contains a highly detailed linear and rigid tracking of assignments in a specific order including daily work, the validity of TEKS and acknowledges “Special Project” status for Bridge Builder Academy as a part of the largest Texas ISD by population (TTU-ISD). TTU curriculum requires a comprehensive final exam in order to receive credit for each course taken. Ask about our Credit by Examination (CBE) option for students not requiring instruction or repeating a course and desiring minimal review.UNL High School
