Least Restrictive Environment?

BBA is a North Dallas area private school that serves students from within their least restrictive environment. This is different from "the least restrictive environment" talked about  by other schools, because we mean it literally. Even though we have classrooms for students who work best in a school environment, our certified teachers will come to you for everything from tutoring to full time instruction of accredited curriculum personalized to your child's ability levels. Is your student most comfortable in the study place at home? At the kitchen table? A private classroom or study room like the Library or those at our school office?  WHEREVER your child is most comfortably challenged is where we will go to meet his or her needs whether that be at BBA or at YOUR home. We also partner with few area private schools to provide the extra help to some students of their school who need help in certain subjects. Our teachers will go to these schools and work one-on-one with the kids who are struggling.

EVERY BBA session is one-on-one! We take education seriously. With the "1 on 1" dynamic we know that learning happens better, faster, and more consistently than it does in a traditional classroom setting. Our students can accomplish in just an hour or two what a traditional classroom student needs a week to accomplish. This means that we can provide instruction for students with full curriculum for as little as 5-10 hours a week depending on their grade level without the peer pressure, nervousness, or embarrassment of the classroom. We guarantee it!

While we do have classroom availability for 1 on 1 instruction at our East Plano office  our state-certified teachers will drive all over the North Dallas area in Collin, Denton, and Dallas Counties. We will come to you wherever you live! Locations like: Addison, Allen, Carrollton, The Colony, Coppell, Dallas, Farmer's Branch, Frisco, Garland, Irving, Lewisville, Mckinney, The Park Cities (Highland Park, University Park), Plano, Richardson, South Lake, and Wylie - are where we teach!

We believe that an effective educational program begins with relationships! We know that students learn more from people that they love and trust. Not only that, but every student is unique, and has different learning styles and skills!

In discovering these styles and skills, a properly trained professional educator can maximize every student’s learning experience through PERSONALIZED, ONE-ON-ONE instruction using the appropriate curriculum for them and techniques such as enrichment and compacting.

It's important to understand that BBA is not based on a single specific method, nor are we a "learning center" with a singular structured curriculum. Instead, we are putting flexibility,  understanding, and common sense back in to education. We are able to meet the academic needs of YOUR child, because our STUDENT CENTERED CURRICULUM is based on each individual child's needs.
 
We hire only the best state certified teachers to use a wide range of recommended and ACCREDITED CURRICULUM to teach our students at THEIR most comfortably challenging level and in THEIR LEAST RESTRICTIVE ENVIRONMENT.

Every BBA session is one-on-one! With the "1 on 1" dynamic we know that learning happens better, faster, and more consistently  than it does in a traditional classroom setting.  This means that we can provide instruction for students with full curriculum for as little as 5-10 hours a week, depending on their grade level, or even supplement their regular daytime teaching with as little as 1-2 hours a week! We guarantee that in our one to two hour sessions students can accomplish what a teacher in a traditional crowded classroom might cover in a week's  time.

One-on-One Education

  • Students respond best to teaching when they are the most comfortable with their environment!
  • The comfortably challenging environment is the most appropriate for teaching social skills and to enhance physical development through real-life experiences!
  • Transitions are often difficult for unique learners. The transition from home to an outside tutor is eliminated with the use of an in-home education specialist!
  • Curriculum Compacting, Enrichment, and other Accommodations and Modifications are intended for individualized instruction, and lose their impact within a group setting.

  • Accelerated learning and GT studies are a snap with an in-home educator to facilitate!
  • Homebound students are best served by a one-on-one certified education specialist!
  • Children are always learning and home is the classroom of life. Time spent on school work can be used most efficiently with a one-on-one certified education specialist!

Welcome to the Bridge Builder Academy "Home School" School website! You may be asking who we are and what we do. The easy answer is that we are a PRIVATE SCHOOL, HOME SCHOOL, and AFTER SCHOOL TUTOR all wrapped up in one!

Don't waste time and gas traveling to a "tutorial center" for your child where they will sit with other students and a "tutor" who might or might not be a certified educator. BBA is a new kind of school. We hire only the BEST STATE CERTIFIED TEACHERS to use a wide range of RECOMMENDED and ACCREDITED CURRICULUM to teach your child or student at their most COMFORTABLY CHALLENGING level and in their LEAST RESTRICTIVE ENVIRONMENT. This is usually your home, so BBA does not have traditional classrooms, instead everything we do is one-on-one with students!
