Campus Life

Students are given a 30 minute lunch break where they are given the opportunity to interact with other students.   This gives older students a chance to practice leadership skills and younger students get a chance to find a mentor.

Field trips allow students time to interact outside of the regular school day.  Parents and siblings of our students are encouraged to participate in our field trips.  This gives the whole family a chance to make connections and become a part of our Bridge Builder Academy family.

For those students who need a break from the focused one-on-one classes, we offer some group times that could include game strategy, brain break games, social skills, etiquette class, study hall, logic/critical thinking, and math reasoning.  Additionally, for high school students earning credit we offer some group classes that count towards their electives such as cooking with math, sign language, drama, art, yearbook, career planning and study skills.

Each year our students organize a community service project.  During the 21-22 school year the students challenged the teachers to see who could donate the most food for a local food pantry.  Boy did it get exciting as both teams were fired up to win the pizza party as the prize for being the winner.  In previous years we have also done a coat drive for the homeless.  What might your student be interested in doing to support our local community?

What is more fun than squirting the Head of School with spray bottles and water balloons?  We have had Field Day in a local park, the courtyard at the school building, or inside the school depending on weather and student needs.  But no matter the location Field Day is always fun for the students and teachers.

Love a good costume, feel good in a particular pair of pj's, want to show off your creative side...well we have plenty of dress up days so you can show your friends your favorites.  We have super hero days, silly sock days, pj day, rock n roll day, sports fan day and so much more.  Did we mention our teachers like to get in on the fun as well?

Celebrating each student's success brings us great joy every year.  At our annual graduation and awards ceremony we recognize each student for the accomplishments they have made throughout the year.  Family and friends are invited to attend and help celebrate these amazing students.
